Instructions. Type the 3rd. person form of the verb. The first one is done for you.

Simple Present Time: Third Person s

Add -s, -es, or -ies to the verb when the subject is in the third person (he, she, it).
Examples:

Travis reads a lot of history books.
Andrea dries the clothes outside.
Edward runs two miles a day.
Jim fixes his car when it breaks down.
She always talks to her mother on the phone.

Spelling rules:
1. Add -s to most verbs: talk-talks, eat-eats, see-sees, etc.
2. Add -es to verbs ending in ss, sh, ch, or x: pass-passes, wash-washes, fix-fixes, watch-watches, etc.
3. Add -s to verbs ending in a vowel + y: buy-buys, pay-pays, stay-stays, etc.
4. For verbs ending in a consonant +y drop the y and add -ies: try-tries, cry-cries, fly-flies, etc.
5. There are three irregular verbs: have-has, do-does, go-goes.
1. (get up) Mary gets up at 6:00 on weekdays.
2. (take) She a shower and gets dressed.
3. (eat, drink) She breakfast and usually a cup of coffee.
4. (walk) After breakfast, Mary to work.
5. (work) She at a local bank about 8 miles from her home.
6. (have) Mary lunch at work.
7. (go) She home at 5:00.
8. (make) When she gets home, she dinner.
9. (study) She Spanish because she wants to visit Mexico.
10. (go) Sometimes she walking in the evening.
11. (go, do) On Saturday, she shopping and the laundry.
12. (talk) On Sunday, she goes to church and to her friends.
13. (live) Mary near a park, so sometimes she goes walking in the park.
