Possessive adjectives are used with a noun to show possession or relationship. Possessive adjectives are the same whether the noun is singular or plural: your book-your books; her friend-her friends.

I have a car. My car is a Toyota.
You have a car. Your car is a Honda.
Henry has a car. His car is a Nissan.
Janet has new shoes. Her shoes are nice.
The dog has a sore leg. Its leg is injured.
We have a comfortable yard. Our yard has big trees.
