Would you, Could you, Will you, and Can you are used to request assistance or to politely ask someone to do something.
Examples:
Could you open the door please? Sure.
Can you turn down the television? Yes, certainly.
Will you please help me move the desk? I'd be glad to.
Would you turn off the light? OK.
